Vagal-regulated systemic representations

Trauma processed through the wisdom of the body in the systemic view:
an organism within a familiar organism

The trauma at the body level

What is trauma for the body?
In the methodology we propose, through systemic representation, exploring
body memory with respect to trauma, the effect of it, is contraction.
A physical and energetic contraction that remains recorded in the body, at the cellular level, in
tendons, muscles, organs, in the contraction of facial expression.
It also manifests in contracting the natural expression that from within wants to manifest
out into the world, the innate love we feel and the natural talents we are born with.
All of this results at a more global level, in what we can call
fragmentation of the Self. To process trauma at all levels, thus not only at the
cognitive level, it is essential to rebuild communication bridges between two or more cells, between
internal organs, between frozen body parts, between members of a family system and a
whole community; micro in the macro.
Fundamentally, every human being desperately seeks the physiological need to
feel safe, remembering that at the systemic level we are an organism within a
family organism.
The right words coupled with the body’s natural processing time allow for
healing at multiple levels.

Why do words have this effect?
In the work that we offiamo, the predisposition is to be “empty” inwardly, without loading
the person who comes to us, of our expectations, projections and
needs. This is the intent that we offiamo, putting ourselves at the service of what is ready to
emerge.

3 different proposals for applying vagal co-regulation in the systems approach

01

Group meetings

The experiential groups are a decisive tool for inner transformation, as the individual, the small self opens up to the big self, to the community, to the equal exchange between adults that takes place in the circle.

02

Individual meetings

Individual meetings are proposed for those who are at the first experience in this methodology or for people who have very intimate themes and who do not feel ready to share in a group work.

03

Training

Training paths with different levels of awareness as personal growth or training integration for therapists in various fields

Janine Van Der Merwe

Independent researcher of the deep self, facilitator, author and trainer
in Jan Method Vagal-regulated systemic representations.
Has been leading systemic work groups with an evolving methodology since 2010.

All my path, all my experiences, have led me to understand what my talent is: communication. Communicating is the ability to create bridges between different languages; it is to unite, through awareness and responsible, present and clear use of the word.

Emanuele Portelli

Will, humility and courage are essential elements of authentic work on oneself: without them I advise you not to begin this work.
